課程概述 |
全球生態與環境變遷，已成為當今人類面對的急迫問題，本課程將設計從對工業現代社會的批判與轉型，思考與討論全球永續發展(global sustainable development)的論述、政治與實踐之現實意義。
生態現代化與永續發展的論述，雖喊的震天嘎響，但從其形成成為全球共識到全球各國實際執行過程，皆有相對的全球政治或社會結構問題，因此，本課程除一方面介紹全球永續發展議題的實質內涵，另一方面重要的是將從環境問題的全球化擴張，討論其實踐的政治經濟問題，包括全球經濟、科技競爭的發展，是否僅僅將永續發展當為另類遊戲(alternative global game)的口號。 |

課程目標 |
本課程將同時著重理論與全球永續發展的實質國際公約、進程批判，加以深入討論。這門課藉研究所同學小型的分組經驗研究，讓學生發掘、體會理論與生活經驗的銜接點，進而激發與建構其環境永續的想像。修課學生除研讀指定文獻外，透過小型分組的實際討論與報告，來簡證或深化相關概念。 |

課程要求 |
每一組每週針對兩篇文章（巨觀與政策）進行（一）詳細的大綱，（二）簡要的報告（報告時間三十分鐘），（三）每週星期六 am10:00交到課程網站。
每位修課同學每週就政策面(energy law and environment)進行與台灣的相關制度、問題、資料比較，（一）該章內容reflection，（二）國際與台灣reflection，（三）每週星期一pm9:30傳到上課網站。 |
